“Praise the LORD, all you nations!
Extol him, all you peoples!
For great is his steadfast love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever.
Praise the LORD!”
  Psalm 117

Through Word and sacrament, prayer, song, sign, symbol, action, sound and silence we are united with God and with one another...To Worship is to experience the breath of God, full of grace, as we draw it in for a full life and growth.

Sunday Worship Volunteers make our worship experience great.

- Scripture Readers lead the gathering’s focus on God’s Word.

- Ushers help people find a comfortable place to sit and guide people during the Lord’s Supper and other activities of the congregation.

- Altar volunteers prepare the Altar each week and are especially needed when we join together in the sacrament of the table.

- Acolytes are those young people who light and extinguish the candles before and after worship.

- The Sound and Visual Systems offers someone the chance to help enhance the voices of our worship leaders.

- Seasonal Art brings the creative gifts of God’s people together with God’s creative Word.

The Gifts of Worship

Power:  We draw on the power of God. As we express our reverence for and praise of God, we develop a sense of identity as a child of God.  We experience the power of  forgiveness.  We discover a confidence and assurance which becomes a deep, abiding sense of power.
Community:  Worship builds community in our life.  We find a sense of roots and  belonging.  We discover a ‘home’ in God’s family.
Meaning:  Worship gives meaning to our life.  We discover what is truly important, of value and lasting.  We discover purpose and  meaning...a life that really counts.
Hope:  Worship gives hope to our life as we see beyond the tragic and terrible to new life in God’s kingdom.  We become Easter people...people of hope
